Columbia Woodworking is a premier architectural millwork manufacturing and installation company serving the greater Northern Virginia/Washington, DC/Baltimore, MD market. We work with the top national and regional general contractors and architects on commercial projects throughout the NoVA/DC/Baltimore metro area. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Coordinator to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Business Development Coordinator will support the company’s growth initiatives by managing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and coordinating marketing efforts. Reporting to senior leadership, this role requires excellent organizational skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities to drive new business.
Essential Job Functions:
Business Development
- Identify and research prospective clients, projects, and market trends to support company growth objectives.
- Assist in cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients, architects, and contractors.
- Manage and update the customer relationship data to track leads and opportunities.
- Coordinate and prepare presentations, proposals, and other materials for prospective clients.
Marketing Coordination
- Develop and maintain marketing materials, including brochures, case studies, and digital content.
- Manage the company’s online presence, including website updates and social media channels.
- Assist in planning and coordinating events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company.
Administrative Support
- Track business development metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, and follow-ups with clients and project teams.
- Support bid and proposal preparation by collecting and organizing necessary documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
The expected salary range is $60,000 to $70,000, commensurate with qualifications and work experience. Columbia Woodworking offers a generous benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, paid time off, and 401(k).
