Nesco Resource is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to work for one our clients based in Waterbury, CT. Will be responsible for project management and all necessary engineering tasks required to meet goals. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling complex project demands with a hands-on approach. This role also requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing multiple projects with budgets ranging from $10K to $1.5M USD; managing and participating in large equipment installation processes.
  • Coordinating and overseeing project activities in an industrial setting.
  • Selecting and managing multiple contractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Developing comprehensive project timelines and ensuring adherence to schedules.
  • Tracking project progress meticulously and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Providing regular updates and detailed reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones and potential issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.
  • Suggest safety improvements to existing equipment.
  • Participate in growth and expansion projects within the plant.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • At least 10 years of project management experience.
  • Background in industrial machinery, equipment installation/repair, service & safety improvements.
  • Background in troubleshooting machine issues; ability to identify root causes.
  • Exposure to mechanical design using AutoCAD and SolidWorks desired.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in the metals industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations desired.

  • Salary range: $90K - $115K
