Immanuel Behavioral Health Counseling Clinic is an emerging counseling clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to our community. As a newly licensed clinic, we are committed to building a supportive and effective environment for both our clients and staff. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to join our team and help shape the future of our clinic.


The Clinical Director will play a critical role in managing the counseling clinic. This position requires a highly skilled Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the ability to operate independently as both a counselor and a clinical director. The successful candidate will be responsible for counseling clients, supervising clinic staff, establishing contracts with health plans, setting up clinic software and billing systems, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.

Job Duties

  • Provide direct counseling services to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Supervise and support clinic staff, including counselors, and administrative personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain contracts with health plans and insurance providers.
  • Ensure seamless integration of contract requirements into clinic operations.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of clinic software and billing systems.
  • Develop and implement clinic policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure clinic operations comply with state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and best practices in the field.
  • Represent the clinic in the community and build relationships with referral sources.


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of state and federal regulatory requirements for counseling clinics.
  • Knowledge of mental health counseling techniques and interventions.
  • Ability to provide clinical counseling services using evidence-based practices.
  • Strong knowledge of clinic software and billing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Employment Requirements

  • Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a valid license in Arizona
  • Prior experience in group and individual counseling, required.
  • Prior experience in a behavioral health setting, preferred.
  • Prior experience in clinical supervision, preferred.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Level one AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help you apply)
  • Current TB test (available on-site)
  • Hands-on CPR/AED and First Aid Certificate for Healthcare Professionals.
  • Must be 21 years of age.


This is a FLSA exempt position.

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (start end time may be flexible)


Salary commensurate with experience.
