As our Design and Showroom Consultant, you will work clients to evaluate their needs, budget, and design requirements. Provide exceptional customer service and provide solutions through product knowledge. This is an on-site role working in our showroom in San Francisco’s Design Center.


Compensation and Benefits: We offer a base salary of $72,000 plus commission and an excellent benefit package.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients regarding budgetary details, design requirements and project completion timelines
  • Offer design direction and inspiration to residential and Trade clients on projects
  • Project manage residential interior design projects of all scope/scales from concept through installation
  • Determine wants and needs using interior design skills to maximize sales
  • Grow clientele base by maintaining daily contacts, follow-ups, and interior design skills
  • Contact potential accounts i.e., builders, contractors, realtors, interior designers, property managers, restoration companies, insurance adjusters, trade professionals and others to create more sales
  • Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
  • Maintain a large repeat and referral customer base by offering superior customer service
  • Demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the showroom
  • Identify outreach opportunities, including marketing to local interior designers
  • Participate in ongoing product/technology training meetings, host and attend client and industry events
  • Enter customer information and sales in the computer database
  • Send/respond to emails daily
  • Maintain a neat and orderly visually appealing desk and showroom.


Job Requirements:

  • Design and sales experience in a showroom or equivalent environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design or other position-related degree is desirable
