Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team under the supervision of a Senior IT Services Manager. This position is crucial for providing first and second-level technical support in a professional services environment. The role involves addressing hardware, software, and networking issues for end-users onsite and remotely. Strong technical expertise in Microsoft environments and effective communication are key to succeeding in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Incident Management System: Acknowledge, document, and resolve support requests in a timely manner, adhering to service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Technical Support: Provide 1st and 2nd level support for hardware, software, and occasional networking issues. Offer remote support via phone, email, chat, and remote desktop tools.
  • Communication: Document and track technical efforts, ensuring effective communication with users and team members.
  • Project Support: Act as an onsite representative for IT initiatives, collaborating with the IT team to ensure successful project execution across the Firm.
  • Proactive IT Support: Assist management in anticipating the office's technology needs and proactively address them. Regularly update IT management on any emerging issues.
  • Maintenance: Maintain and organize IT areas to ensure they are well-stocked and visually presentable.
  • Learning & Development: Complete required CPE learning hours and meet annual goals efficiently.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Be adaptable and ready to take on additional tasks as needed by management.


Position Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Experience supporting end-users in a Microsoft environment, including troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and mobile devices.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include Windows 10/11, CompTIA A+, or CompTIA Network+. Understanding of networking fundamentals is essential.
  • Education: Associate’s degree in an IT-related field, or a combination of relevant education and technical training.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in translating technical information for non-technical staff.
  • Professional Experience: Experience in public accounting or other professional services is a plus.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changes within the Firm and the broader industry.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to remote offices as needed.
