Help Desk Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Help Desk Specialist II to join our team at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA.
Job Summary:This is a full-time position that requires excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up or repairing computer equipment and related devices, maintaining system capabilities, and training users on proper use of hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up or repair computer equipment and related devices
- Maintain system capabilities by testing existing equipment and programs
- Try out new systems and software
- Document changes, revisions, and problems
- Train users on proper use of hardware and software
- Clearly communicate the understanding of the proper use of technology to team
- Manage and train beginner specialists
- 1-year of experience troubleshooting software and hardware in a customer service role
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills using the English language
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Prefer candidates with an associate degree with an emphasis on Information Technology such as Network Administration
- Prefer candidates with certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
- No security clearance required; Secret Clearance Preferred
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must pass a Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation
