Responsibilities:

Conducts daily, weekly, and/or monthly parts/material audit and physical cycle count and verifies alignment with SAP (parts number verification, batch number verification, proper part physical location)

Act on all matters pertaining to schedules, status, and inventory and translate, prepare and assign meaningful and functional productivity plans to meet established master schedules for customers

Provide detailed WIP status reports for customer calls

Monitor orders in WIP, replace rejected materials, and facilitate production holds

Inventory reduction through the development and implementation of an internal Kanban system

Plan, coordinate and control interdepartmental activity within quality assurance, manufacturing, procurement, engineering, production and logistic

Develop material requirements from BOM's, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate the timely delivery of critically need hardware

Coordinate and expedite flow of materials meet production requirements

Participates in build schedule generation to ensure proper scheduling of program requirements

Sets priorities with Functional and Line Managers to ensure that Products are properly supported and will meet the program build schedule

Prepares and presents manufacturing performance and status reports

Understanding of Line of Balance (LOB) and scheduling tools

Materials Manager. Position requires the ability to effectively use and implement planning parameters, business planning and integration techniques, and a high degree of product and manufacturing process knowledge.

The position is responsible for strategic planning, detailed scheduling, rough-cut capacity planning, capacity requirements planning, material analysis and planning, new product introduction, change control coordination and execution, purchase part requisitioning, supplier scheduling, lead time reduction, inactive and obsolete inventory dispositions, systems data integrity, and effective measurements.


Education & Experience:

BS degree in Engineering or related field required.

Demonstrated understanding of project management and/or process improvement methodologies, preferably in the aerospace industry. Productive interactions with factory workers
