We are seeking a highly skilled Product Planning Specialist to join our team at Dexian. As a Product Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer demands and maintain inventory levels.
  • Determine material requirements from business requirements planning, material requirements planning, and customer orders.
  • Recommend internal make kanban levels and execute them.
  • Research and evaluate solutions for improved inventory management.
  • Assist with product quotes to evaluate internal manufacturing costs.
  • Coordinate and monitor production activity to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials.
  • Measure schedule attainment and drive corrective actions to improve processes.
  • Coordinate and monitor sub-contract purchase orders.
  • Perform reconciliation of invoices or receipts.
  • Troubleshoot and follow up on potential schedule problems.
  • Maintain records of production and material deficiencies.
  • Ensure record retention compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reductions.
  • Manage engineering changes.
  • Participate on product teams as required.
  • Participate in new product introductions as requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 2 years of successful experience in a production planning/materials management position within a manufacturing operation.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field.
  • Solid grasp of production planning principles, including MRP, Capacity Planning, and ERP II understanding.
  • APICS certification a plus.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
