Reach is the most comprehensive provider of services for individuals with IDD in the greater Houston northwest area. Around 300 clients are currently served by a staff of 195 and a growing number of volunteers, through programs including group homes, home & community based services, and a center for life-long learning.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Coordinator, Volunteers and Events at Reach Unlimited, Inc. The Coordinator will be responsible for volunteer training, managing volunteer activities, coordinating events, community outreach, and fostering positive interpersonal relationships with volunteers and stakeholders. Position will also collaborate with the Development Office to assist with four major events annually and other donor appreciation activities. Possibility to carry a portfolio and staff a small group of lead annual donors.


Qualifications

  • Volunteer Training, Volunteer Management, and Community Outreach skills
  • Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities
  • Experience in event coordination and organization
  • Experience and awareness of fundraising and its role with volunteers
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of volunteers and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Non-Profit Management, or related field
  • Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus
