TRUE PRODUCT MANAGER JOB OPENING & NOT PROJECT MANAGER.

MUST HAVE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Previously have been a Software Engineer/Developer.
  3. Cloud services for content management or large-scale internet platforms (B2B and B2C) with millions of users.
  4. Software design and backend system design experience.


Global streaming solutions provider, serving diverse markets worldwide. As my client expands into additional industries, they’re building a new Product team to drive SaaS development and support. This initiative benefits from the backing of an established, profitable business, aiming to create a high-performing SaaS platform for streaming solutions. Our goal is to empower clients to launch custom mobile, TV, and web applications for live and on-demand content, with an ultimate vision to become a top vendor in the streaming SaaS space within the next three years.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Engage in strategic discussions to understand the product’s business model and the global market landscape.
  • Identify customer needs and define precise product requirements that address these challenges.
  • Stay updated on market trends, both locally and globally.
  • Transform insights into product specifications that meet the needs of clients in various regions.

Platform Design & Development

  • Lead the design of architecture, feature development, and scalability for the next-generation SaaS platform, emphasizing flexibility and modern cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products.

Business Responsibility

  • Develop effective business models, including operations management processes, product definitions, and frameworks for business modeling, aligned with overall business goals.

Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring the platform aligns with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Strong logical thinking, system abstraction, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with proven experience leading teams to achieve high-quality results.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success to support smooth product development and successful launches.
  • Skilled in data-driven decision-making, utilizing analytics to drive continuous product improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Informed on industry trends and competitive activities within the OTT and SaaS markets.
  • Able to spearhead product launches and operations by leveraging global insights and resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in enterprise software systems, particularly in cloud-based content management or large-scale internet platforms (B2B and B2C) with extensive user bases.
  • Experience designing open platforms and SaaS solutions, ideally in agile development settings.
  • Proven ability to thrive in startup environments, with experience in high-growth companies a plus.
  • Technical proficiency in large-scale software design methodologies (RUP, UML), with strong cloud-based systems expertise and scalable architecture experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven and capable of performing effectively in fast-paced, global environments.
  • Global mindset and ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse client needs in a multicultural setting.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in high-growth, startup-like environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based SaaS architectures and large-scale product design.
  • OTT and video streaming experience beneficial but not essential.
  • Familiarity with mobile/TV app ecosystems (iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV) and content delivery networks.
