This position is located just outside of Fort Worth Texas.


Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance leadership within a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems, with experience in certification processes and audits.



Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management: Oversee the quality department, ensuring effective inspection, laboratory testing, statistical process control, and auditing (internal and third-party).
  • Quality System Implementation: Develop, maintain, and modify the plant’s quality management system to enhance business operations and meet customer and audit requirements.
  • Problem Resolution: Collaborate with production and warehouse leadership to resolve quality-related issues at the plant and customer locations, particularly during new product or process startups.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and solving technical problems.
  • Quality Assurance Program: Design, implement, and manage the quality assurance program for the plant.
  • SPC Programs: Establish, monitor, and maintain statistical process control (SPC) programs.
  • Process Capability Analysis: Conduct ongoing process capability (CPK) statistics analysis to ensure consistent quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality objectives, advising the plant manager on action plans.
  • Procedure Improvement: Suggest enhancements in procedures and techniques to improve product and customer acceptance.
  • Coordination: Work with division and plant personnel to address coordination-related quality issues.
  • Corrective Actions: Stimulate corrective actions through continuous improvement and employee involvement programs.
  • Quality Initiatives: Lead quality initiatives and procedures to maintain best-in-class practices at the facility.
  • Audit Programs: Act as the local contact for external audit programs and support plant management in implementing corrective actions.
  • Customer Representation: Represent the plant in addressing customer complaints or quality issues.
  • Training Programs: Design and coordinate training programs for managers, staff, and employees to ensure consistent quality standards and clear communication of expectations.
  • Budget Management: Manage the quality department’s supplies and expense budget, ensuring cost-effective spending.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow and enforce product and packaging safety rules, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring product safety for intermediate and end users.
  • Leadership Support: Attend and support the plant leadership team in achieving quality objectives and performance targets.
