Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Plant Operations Assistant to join our team at Refresco. This role will provide administrative and financial support to our plant operations team, ensuring the efficient processing of invoices and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and reconcile invoices to purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide coverage of the plant front desk area as needed, responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Process vendor set-up requests and assist vendors with invoice inquiries.
  • Maintain purchase orders, setting up delivery complete and final invoice flags, and ensuring timely receipt.
  • Collaborate with the production team to understand downtime logs, production lines, and equipment, as well as ProdReps and BPCS.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and reports using MS Office software.
  • Post and reconcile shop orders daily, as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with SQF standards, responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality, and notify a person with authority to take action for any Food Safety or Food Quality issues.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, reporting to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to the Controller.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in accounts payable.
  • Solid background in administration assistance.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Strong organization and communication skills, ability to multi-task while paying attention to detail and working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and coordinate activities to meet specific deadlines.
Working Conditions
  • Physical: Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.
  • Visual/Sensory: This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
  • Work environment: Work and environment are very repetitive.
