Title: Document Control Administrator - III (Senior)
Location: Durham, NC 27712
Duration: 12 Months’
Pay Rate: $40/hr
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of a Manager, the Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) Associate Specialist is responsible to provide day-to-day support for site preventive and corrective maintenance with respect to MRO activities. Assigned tasks include buying OEM inventory, ensuring proper goods receipt of inventory, processing new additions and change forms, storing inventory, issuing parts against a work order or cost center, cycle counting physical inventory, and processing min/max changes. Actively ensures compliance to Good Documentation Practices, Safety, good housekeeping practices and Environmental regulations while achieving operating cost goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Ensures strict adherence to standard operating procedures, policies, and standard business practices.
• Maintain proper management of spare parts inventory, to improve site reliability.
• Interacts with hourly, salaried and contract employees in routine matters, troubleshooting inventory management, and continuous improvement project work.
• Maintains a high level of technical knowledge and coordinates safety, current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, and environmental compliance programs.
• Participates in root cause investigations, evaluates, improves business processes and develops rationale for improvements.
• Provides reports, data and information to support on-going operations.
• Frequently communicates with immediate supervisor about status of projects or assignments.
• Develops strong relationships with site operations to ensure consensus on operational compliance issues.
• Supports routine safety and regulatory inspections.
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Required:
• Three to five years warehousing and inventory management experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
• Good interpersonal skills including flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
• Good analytical abilities, organizational skills, written and verbal communications
Heavily Preferred- SAP experience. Prior experience in spare parts/inventory management a huge plus
Preferred:
• Sourcing and procurement of MRO items
• Pallet jack operation and safety experience
Comments/Special Instructions
• Mostly Desk/computer work within the Maintenance, repair, operations organization.
• Mostly inventory/spare parts tracking for Project Flash.
• Weekly reports on the status of the spare part requests.
• Typical day would include working with MRO, Project Team (Flash)- tracking all the spare parts for the projects.
• Entering info into SAP, talking with vendors, getting quotes, tracking progress, tracking orders.
• Interaction with maintenance customers/users that are using the spare parts/inventory. Ensuring new parts from the FLASH project are being entered/inventoried properly.
• Primarily at desk... not too much walking shop floor.
• Would need safety shoes/glasses sometimes for certain areas.
• Primarily work/interact with maintenance end users and Valen contractors.
• Processing of inventory management/good data entry.
