Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll operations for new hires, terminations, and updates.
  • Ensure timely financial reconciliations and prepare reports for payroll accounts.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Maintain accurate reconciliations of payroll-related filings and deductions (e.g., 401K, HSA, FSA).
  • Oversee report compliance and respond to payroll tax inquiries.
  • Coordinate audits related to 401k and financial statements.
  • Administer day-to-day benefits with close attention to detail.
  • Maintain detailed records of benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations to ensure data integrity in HR systems.
  • Assist with compliance tasks as assigned by senior stakeholders.


Payroll Administrator Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in payroll & benefits, with a strong understanding of HR payroll and benefit best practice.
  • Proficient in payroll software and knowledgeable in benefits administration.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
