Lakeshore Talent is partnering with a local organization to fill an Administrative Assistant position in a small, friendly office located in the beautiful Genesee area, approximately 8 miles southwest of Golden, Colorado. This is a full-time, in-person role with a close-knit, team-oriented environment. This role is a contract to hire opportunity offering fully paid employee benefits upon permanent hire
*Reliable transportation with 4-wheel drive is highly suggested due to jobsite location.
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $24-29/hr
Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant will work under the direction of the Director of Administration, with additional guidance from the District Manager. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of 7 employees and must bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow in the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office functions: answering phones, responding to customer inquiries, data entry, and processing customer payments
- Enter invoices, order supplies, and maintain filing systems (both physical and electronic)
- Prepare reports and create/maintain spreadsheets
- Handle customer billing, accounts receivable/payable
- Prepare service orders such as customer requests, utility locate requests, and meter reads
- Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Proofread documents for grammar, punctuation, and formatting, ensuring consistency
- Organize and prioritize tasks, meeting deadlines and managing special projects
- Receipt and process invoices
Minimum Skills and Abilities:
- Self-starter with strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to handle multiple disruptions
- Proficiency in Office 365
- Strong organizational and communication skills (oral, written, and listening)
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to problem-solve and take initiative
- Reliable transportation required due to office location
Preferred Skills:
- Background in bookkeeping and/or accounting
- Experience with Caselle (Government Accounting Software)
