Position Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance and development of the Outside Sales Representatives, ensuring the achievement of company sales goals. This role involves strategic planning, coaching, and managing sales activities to maximize market penetration and profitability. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships, driving sales initiatives, and supporting the company’s core values.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and support a team of Outside Sales Representatives to meet and exceed sales targets. Provide guidance and support to help them achieve their individual and team goals.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth. Work closely with the Sales Director to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Assist sales representatives in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance metrics. Provide regular feedback and performance reviews to sales representatives. Implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure targets are met.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the sales team's skills and knowledge. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve sales techniques.
  • Sales Process Management: Oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals. Ensure that the sales team follows best practices and maintains accurate records in the CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, such as marketing and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market conditions, industry trends, and competitor activities. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to adapt and refine sales strategies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management. Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve sales performance.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a sales management role, preferably in the fuel and lubricant industry or a related field.


Skills:

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
