About the Role: Moon Juice is seeking a highly collaborative creative visionary to lead our creative processes, from concept to execution. Reporting to the Founder, this role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in visual and brand design, brand management, and copywriting. This role will lead the brand design efforts for product launches, packaging, production, and both physical and digital retail environments. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive engagement, alignment, and innovation to ensure that our creative outputs inspire our audience and support our business objectives.


As a member of the senior leadership team, the VP Creative must be a positive cultural leader who role models confidence balanced with humility and a growth mindset. This person is inclusive, collaborative, and transparent and will build strong cross-functional relationships at all levels. This person enjoys mentoring team members. Excellent communication skills and empathy are a must.



How You’ll Contribute


Creative Leadership

  • Develop and implement the overall creative strategy and vision for Moon Juice.
  • Lead and inspire the creative team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Ensure brand consistency across digital, print, packaging, and retail spaces.


Campaign Development

  • Oversee the creation of integrated marketing campaigns that align with business objectives and brand values.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and digital teams to develop concepts that drive engagement and conversion.


Brand Design Strategy

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee the adaptation of brand guidelines for retail partners, considering audience preferences while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Translate strategic brand design into innovative and impactful creative solutions.


Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing creative and design team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Manage external creative agencies and freelancers as needed.
  • Oversee the creative team’s workflow, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.


Content Creation

  • Oversee the development of all visual and written content, including product photography, videos, website design, social media content, and more.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, high-quality, and optimized for various platforms and audiences.


Copywriting

  • Lead the development of high-quality, persuasive copy for various platforms, including packaging, digital ads, social media, websites, and print materials.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the copywriting team, ensuring alignment with brand voice and tone.


Agency & Vendor Management

  • Evaluate, select, brief, and collaborate with external agencies and vendors as needed to ensure the delivery of high-quality work that aligns with brand standards.


Event & Experiential Marketing

  • Plan and oversee the creative aspects of brand activation events that enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Ensure consistency in in-store visual merchandising and packaging, elevating the brand’s physical presence.



What You Bring


  • 15+ years of progressive experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within the wellness, beauty, or lifestyle industries. Experience with a founder-based brand is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful creative campaigns across online + offline channels.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative work in copywriting, branding, and creative direction.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An enthusiasm for teambuilding and creating a values-based work culture.
  • Exceptional professionalism and collaboration skills, able to motivate teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and project management tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage simultaneous projects with thoroughness.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in the work.
  • Passion for wellness and sustainability and a deep understanding of the Moon Juice brand and its values.
