Responsibilities
- Manage and drive quality issues to closure by working closely with cross functional teams and suppliers.
- Reviewing supplier manufacturing processes, collaborating with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities.
- Working with suppliers to ensure all necessary quality activities are rigorously carried out.
- Perform failure analysis to identify root cause and to provide mitigation to improve supply manufacturing quality.
- Monitoring supplier performance and response times to ensure production continuity.
- Evaluating suppliers, conducting audits, and assessing supplier quality metrics.
- Managing supplier corrective action reports.
- Preparing reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in electronic components industry.
- Advanced degree in material science, mechanical and electrical engineering, or relevant field.
- Highly technical problem solving skills, driven to understand true root cause and validate corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of the electronic component packaging manufacturing process.
- Understanding of quality methodology, Design of Experiments (DOEs), statistical process control, quality statistical sampling, reliability methods and theory.
- Experience with quality inspection, auditing, and testing methods.
- Experience in transfer design and develop packaging processes in supplier’s oversea manufacturing sites
- Demonstrated ability to improve yield and manufacturing quality of products in supplier’s production line.
- Data driven and results oriented approach to problem solving
- Inclination to be hands on, performing device tear downs, collecting diagnostics information and data gathering using instrumentation.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively present to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Ability to travel for supplier visits.
- Mandarin speaking a plus
