Job Overview:

The Regenerative Institute of Community Education (R.I.C.E.) is seeking a Part-Time Program Assistant for our Equity in Conservation and Next-generation Farmer Leadership Program (ECONFL). The Program Assistant will work directly with our Program Manager of ECO and the Youth Education Director to provide essential logistical support over the 3-year program and will report to the ECO-NFL Program Director. The Program Assistant will primarily focus on supporting communication with various stakeholders including parents, farmers, resource persons, and other community members. Communication will also include marketing efforts through maintaining a current online presence through social media platforms. This position also involves assisting in the organization of special events including field days and field trips. This is a remote position with a commitment of 15 hours per week at $25.25 /hr.


Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for parents, farmers, and other stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing necessary information about programs and events.
  • Assist in the development of communication materials such as email, newsletters, flyers permission slips, registration forms, intake forms, and press releases.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders through clear and timely communication.


Logistical Support:

  • Assist in the coordination and organization of field days and field trips, including scheduling, participant registration, and logistical arrangements.
  • Coordinate transportation, venue bookings, and necessary equipment/materials for events and trips.
  • Ensure all logistical aspects of programs and events are executed smoothly and efficiently. 


Support our Social Media Coordinator:

Create and schedule engaging content across various social media platforms including Instagram, our website and LinkedIn.

Provide feedback on social media channels, respond to inquiries, comments, and messages promptly, and engage with followers to build community engagement.


Requirements:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in using social media management tools, and email marketing platforms. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment. Knowledge of agriculture, education, or community development is a plus. Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening or weekend events.
