Job Summary

Augusta University College of Nursing is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching didactic and clinical courses, mentoring students, and contributing to the development of the program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach didactic and clinical courses in the DNP program
  • Mentor students in their DNP projects
  • Contribute to the development of the program
  • Participate in scholarly activities, such as presentations and publications
  • Engage in service activities, such as committee work and community outreach
Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in a relevant field (PhD, DNP)
  • Active licensure to practice nursing in the state of Georgia or eligibility to apply for a nursing license
  • National Board Certification in Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Assistant Professor: Early level career as a faculty member
  • Associate Professor: Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic teaching experience in didactic and/or clinical instruction
  • Comfort with technology-infused engaging pedagogical strategies
  • Evidence of contribution to the profession and recognition at the local, regional, or national level
