We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to be responsible for ensuring that quality requirements are integrated into the production process, meeting customer contracts, regulations, and specifications. This role involves interpreting relevant standards, developing and improving quality plans, managing nonconforming materials, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


You Will:


  • Understand and incorporate customer contracts, regulations, and requirements into the production process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with applicable specifications, and other relevant drawings.
  • Develop, implement, and improve quality plans including First Article Inspections (FAIRS), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT/IAT), hold points, and source inspection points.
  • Perform reviews of material certifications to ensure supplied products meet specifications, drawings, and contract requirements. This may include Radiographic Testing (RT).
  • Coordinate and host customer source inspection sessions, addressing customer needs and ensuring compliance.
  • Lead the MRB/SIR process, addressing issues promptly and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepare and respond to customer escapes and Corrective Action Requests (CAR), including reports such as VIRS, VPARS, LOAs, and customer RCCA responses.
  • Drive continuous improvement using CIRCOR Operating System (COS) tools.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to ensure and maintain product quality. Mentor and assist inspectors with requirements, and ensure personnel are qualified for their roles (NDT, Weld, RT sign-offs, supervisors, alternates).
  • Develop, create, edit, and implement special process and quality system procedures.
  • Create, complete, and maintain customer-required documentation and archive as per customer requirements.
  • Perform data analysis and prepare necessary reports and presentations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and participate in continuous improvement projects.


You Have:


Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • ASQ Quality Engineer Certification preferred.
  • Machining and blueprint interpretation skills are a must. Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 GD&T.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt preferred.
  • Knowledge of Defense Industry and prior experience with DOD Contractor a plus.
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines, be detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Experience with standards such as AS9100, ISO14001, ISO9001.
  • NDT – RT, PT, VT, AWS welding requirements and inspection experience preferred.
  • Microsoft 365 advanced experience. Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint, TEAMS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or a technical field required.
  • Requires 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, including audit, in-depth understanding of quality concepts and principles.
