We are seeking an experienced and motivated Wholesale Sales Manager that will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse distributor Customers within a given Buying Group while maximizing all sales opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the automotive industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales. Successful Sales Managers will drive sales growth, build strong relationships with clients, and work closely with PowerStop internal resources to ensure sales growth and overall success while keeping abreast of industry and category trends. This position works in a hybrid role.


Essential Duties and Key Behaviors:


  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed wholesale sales targets.
  • Train inside and outside sales reps on the features and benefits of PowerStop products, including what differentiates us from competitors.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with wholesale clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry developments.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Utilize SalesForce CRM tool to track customer interactions, sales data, communication, leads, and reporting. etc.
  • Successfully negotiate with Customers as needed, ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.
  • Manage annual inventory return allowances, stock adjustments, and warranty allowances.
  • Implement sales promotions on a case-by-case instance to increase sales with a new or existing customer.
  • Flexibility to work outside of your assigned accounts on as need basis.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote the company's products and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels at each warehouse distributor. Prepare and present gap analysis of current inventories and present new part number announcements.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, striving for effective resolutions.
  • Maximize existing business while seeking new business and opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or equivalent
  • 5+ years of proven experience in the automotive aftermarket industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and CRM software
  • Possess strong attention to detail, and ability to interpret and quantify large sets of data and market trends.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience building and managing relationships with clients and closing sales.
  • Demonstrated successes in driving revenue growth and profitability in a wholesale environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Profound understanding of automotive industry trends and market dynamics
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis.
