About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cannabis Wholesale Sales Manager to join our team at Curaleaf. As an Account Executive in our Wholesale department, you will play a critical role in driving new sales and meeting revenue targets through acquiring new accounts, account management, and providing sales metrics and reporting for your designated region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Sales Efforts: Oversee all sales efforts for wholesale accounts throughout the state to achieve monthly and annual sales revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Develop State-Specific Strategies: Partner with the local market team to develop state-specific strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Conduct Sales Calls: Conduct sales calls and selling efforts for wholesale accounts to identify new business opportunities.
  • Nurture Customer Relationships: Develop and nurture new accounts and key customer relationships to drive repeat business.
  • Develop Pipelines and Targets: Develop pipelines, targets, and innovative strategies to increase opportunities and sales in the market.
  • Execute Customer Orders: Create and organize promotional events, update sales menus and product availability databases, and execute customer orders.
  • Prepare Sales Reports: Prepare and present sales reports to track leads and execute follow-up.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained through sales tools, smart communication, and in-store visits.
  • Stay Current on Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry, customer, and competitive product landscape.
  • Communicate with Customers: Maintain regular communication with customers to understand their needs.
  • Build Industry Expertise: Build a strong base of industry expertise through ongoing education and training.
  • Attend Industry Events: Attend cannabis industry trade shows, conferences, conventions, and other professional events to stay current on industry trends and interact with potential and existing customers.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel requirements include occasional overnights to cover assigned regions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Possess a bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Sales Experience: Have at least 2 years of professional sales experience with at least 1 in a B2B sales channel in cannabis.
  • Cannabis Industry Knowledge: Possess a solid understanding of the cannabis industry, cannabis laws, rules, and regulations, and the ability to stay current on any changes for the industry.
  • Results-Oriented: Be results-oriented, driven, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, organized, and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Sales Track Record: Have a strong sales track record in driving revenue, achieving growth, and building customer relationships.
  • Software Proficiency: Experienced in driving exceeding sales quotas and knowledgeable in the cannabis industry, regulations, market trends, and competition.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in software such as Hoodie, Leaflink, Leaftrade, and Microsoft Office Suite.
