We seek a dedicated Strategic Account Manager to develop and maintain strong customer relationships with key *** Defense / Military Vehicle *** customers and strategic accounts, understanding their evolving needs, and driving sales growth within their assigned market segment. This role will leverage internal technical resources to develop and present quotes that achieve margin targets. Responsibilities also include conducting business development activities to expand revenue and margin within assigned markets and customers and acquires new customers.


Location

This is a Remote position based ** near a major airport in WI, IL, MN, MI, IN, or OH ** only.

Candidates must currently reside in one of these locations.


Compensation

Base Salary + Bonus (based on individual and company performance)+ 401K + Full Medical, Dental, Vision + Tuition Reimbursement


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit objectives for high-volume and key account clients.
  • Identifies and capitalizes on new sales opportunities within existing accounts, while proactively seeking new customer relationships.
  • Prepares, presents, and negotiates RFQ responses and pricing proposals, closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets with minimal support from sales leadership.
  • Conducts customer visits and facilitates manufacturing facility tours as required.
  • Proactively escalates internal challenges to management to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
  • Maintains comprehensive and accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account details in the company’s CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Delivers regular reports on account performance, sales pipeline status, and market trends to management.
  • Analyzes sales metrics and customer insights to identify improvement areas, creating strategies to drive business growth.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of various sizes or scopes.


Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional sales experience, selling to large Defense / Military Vehicle OEM accounts.
  • Current or recent Contract Manufacturing (Metal Fabrication or related Metals Manufacturing) experience selling to large OEM accounts in excess of $25 million.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the capability to devise innovative solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a proven track record of engaging effectively with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and data analysis tools (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of Engineered components.
  • Willingness and availability to do 15-20% overnight travel to customer locations and trade shows.
