Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a tactical sales/capture plan
- Concentrate efforts on implementing a direct field tactical sales program
- Build new client relationships with key accounts and develop strategic teaming relationships with firms in selected markets
- Assist in the determination and development of market penetration strategies
- Identify key accounts within targeted markets
- Join and attend appropriate trade/networking organizations and represent the firm to expand our image and reach
- Maintain high level of knowledge of product knowledge
- Keep up to date on the industry’s happenings and knowledge of key individual movement and potential client strategies
- Provide assistance to assure that appropriate marketing and presentation materials effectively target slated markets and accounts to help close sales.
- Committed to a varying work schedule and travel within territory
- Maintain contacts and BD activities in the company CRM database
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience
- Minimum 5 years outside business development experiences
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
- A self-motivated person with an entrepreneurial spirit that is committed to a successful career in outside sales.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently prospect for new sources of business and able to attend events cold, make cold calls as needed and engage with potential targets.
- Ability to set and achieve challenging business development goals, and successfully manage accounts within the designated region.
- Ability to develop a strong rapport with clients and maintain excellent working relationships.
