Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with 2+ years of experience who is quick to learn and adapt to join our team as a Cybersecurity Engineer. In this position, you will oversee Fruth Group’s security infrastructure while managing both human and technological resources to ensure that security is properly maintained.


As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions that comply with federal objectives and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in vendor management and earned applicable certifications, such as:

  • CompTIA Security+
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

This is an on-site role located in the Greater Phoenix Area.


Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will oversee the resources required to maintain and improve an organization’s cybersecurity system. You must be comfortable working with a wide range of other cybersecurity professionals and providing direction when necessary. If you handle responsibility well, enjoy working with others and are comfortable in a leadership position, then this role may be for you.


  • Training employees on cybersecurity best practices 
  • Delegating tasks and monitoring team performance
  • Overseeing updates to existing security systems and implementing new protocols
  • Leading efforts to address security breaches
  • Developing security strategies and making adjustments as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in a field in or related to cybersecurity (i.e. math, computer science, engineering)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Leadership

  • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity systems and infrastructure
