Receptionist / Accounting Assistant

Midland Energy, Inc. is currently hiring for the position of Receptionist / Accounting Assistant. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be the first point of contact for visitors at the office or on the phone, greeting them in a polite and well-spoken manner. You will also be assigned duties that are vital to the company operation including organization of and scanning invoices into the accounting system, assisting with commercial SWD invoicing, and assisting the regulatory department with data entry. You will also be assigned duties as required (i.e. organization of inbound and outbound mail, administrative work, and general clerical support).
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Distribute mail
- Act as first point of contact for visitors
- Scan invoices into accounting software
- Assist regulatory department in data entry and filing
- Assist commercial SWD accounting department in invoicing
- Assist with office-supply stock maintenance and ordering
- Be willing to help in any area of the company as asked or required for the benefit of the company
Qualifications
- High school diploma or relevant work experience
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-starter who always seeks out tasks if other work is completed
- Previous accounting experience preferred but not required
