Contract : 4-6 months
Position Overview: We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in in vivo models of oncology and/or inflammatory diseases and cell biology. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing novel therapies into clinical studies and will be instrumental in translating research data to preclinical models. The role requires active engagement in a collaborative, cross-functional team, conducting experiments, organizing and analyzing results, and effectively communicating findings in team meetings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute preclinical models of inflammation and fibrosis.
- Isolate tissues and prepare samples for downstream analyses, including flow cytometry, gene expression analysis, and histopathological analysis.
- Communicate plans and results effectively in both oral and written forms.
- Coordinate tasks across projects, demonstrating excellent prioritization and planning skills.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in animal handling.
- Experience with histopathological techniques such as tissue processing, embedding, paraffin sectioning, and immunohistochemistry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of biology and physiology.
- Self-motivated and willing to assist team members as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency in data management programs such as MS Office and GraphPad Prism.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly dynamic, collaborative team environment.
Experience:
- BS in a related field or 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Hands-on experience in preclinical models of human disease.
