SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate tracking and importing of information within the Shipping, Receiving, and Pick/Pack department. The individual in this role will support both departments with data entry, filing, tracking, and other clerical duties as assigned.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily inventory cycle counts in accordance with processes and procedures for approved inventory and materials.

• Manage the receipt of inventory including receiving product and inputting inventory data into the ERP system.

• Communicate with other departments including Commodities, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality and Executive Committee regarding inventory fulfillment needs and updates.

• Pull parts for job kits required as needed.

• Safely operate forklift daily for parts put away and cycle counts.

• Utilize FIFO inventory for specified products.

• Receive all material with physical count and verification and systematically in ERP to show inventory available in a timely manner.

• Assist with Shipping functions as needed.

• Maintain open communication with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and the Pick/Pack Supervisor.

• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with college degree preferred.

• 1-2 years’ experience / basic knowledge of Shipping & Receiving.

• 1-2 years’ experience working in inventory role preferred.

• Ability to effectively work independently, be well organized, and detail oriented.

• Ability to interface with others in a professional manner while maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude.

• Possess technical ability, with an eye for abnormalities and aptitude for detail.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to write routine reports in a professional manner


REASONING ABILITY:

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

• Handle problems involving variables in a standardized situation.

• Ability to make decisions and know when/where to make concessions.


COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn new software as required.

• Experience with manufacturing ERP preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in the office of a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant.

Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
