Key Responsibilities:- Manage all aspects of the location to achieve maximum sales and profits with available resources.
- Oversee the daily operations of the location, including sales, production, delivery, and inventory control.
- Develop and implement inventory control programs to meet location inventory levels and turns.
- Recruit, hire, and train employees, and create and enforce staffing measures to reduce employee turnover and increase company profits.
- Motivate employees, maintain a productive workforce, and train successor management.
- Review and approve wage and salary increases, and establish objectives and performance measures.
- Recommend capital improvements based on forecasted demand, efficiency of current equipment, and other factors.
- Institute a cost-effective vehicle and equipment maintenance program.
- Support and reinforce company safety initiatives to ensure compliance with all OSHA and DOT requirements.
- Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to foster a healthy work environment.
- Obtain feedback on customer satisfaction.
- Be responsible for budget accountability and reporting, and work to establish standard cost, operating budgets, and acceptable inventory levels.
- Monitor expenses and create new methods to improve each location's financial performance.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Four years of related managerial experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in the building materials industry.
- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, and works well in group problem-solving situations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Focuses on solving conflict, maintains confidentiality, listens to others without interrupting, and remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.
