The ideal applicant will possess a strong background navigating personal injury litigation, commitment to client services, and a high degree of empathy for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist attorneys in all stages of personal injury cases from inception through appeal.
  2. Interview new and existing clients to ascertain case details, personal narratives, and injury specifics.
  3. Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other correspondence.
  4. Conduct legal research to support case issues and provide relevant information to attorneys.
  5. Maintain and manage a high-volume case load and keep up to date client records.
  6. Facilitate communication and correspond with opposing counsel, judges, and clients to schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  7. Carefully review and analyze medical records and coordinate with medical providers.
  8. Demonstrate a high degree of empathy and sensitivity to clients' needs and concerns while ensuring confidentiality and respect at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in the area of personal injury law.
  2. Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited program.
  3. Solid knowledge of legal research techniques and legal terminology.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite resources, case management software, and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and capable of managing client interactions with a high level of professionalism.
  6. Empathy towards clients' situations, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle emotionally charged situations.
  7. Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem-solving and strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines.
  8. Experience with litigating in state and federal courts preferred.
