Technical Acquisition Lead

Day-to-day: An employer is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer in the San Antonio area. They will review and analyze results of studies from University Affiliated Research Centers and identify requirements/opportunities for tradeoffs between performance, size, weight, and power and re-programmability of algorithms and trust anchors. Be the liaison between IIPT and the user community, identify functional and interface requirements: data storage architectures, end user data concepts of operation (CONOPS), physical/logical interfaces, size, performance, environmental, data classification, etc. Leverage Concept Characterization and Technical Description (CCTD) documents. Identify risks associated with tradeoffs and technology gaps and develop risk assessments and mitigations. Assess Key Management (KM) options and work with NSA and stakeholders to identify KM alternatives. This person will support the development of Systems Requirements Documents and Analyses of Solutions for Cryptographic Transformation initiatives. These initiatives vary from early concepts to efforts in the Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR). The goal of this contract is to help the Air Force reduce technology risk, engineering integration, and life-cycle cost risk and determine the appropriate set of technologies to be integrated into full systems to make sound business decisions on initiating formal acquisition programs during Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD).
