Overview

The Account Executive will work closely with our Wholesale Director to develop and execute the brand’s wholesale strategy. The role will focus on customer relationships, reporting, preparation for market, and daily operations that strengthen the wholesale business.

 

Responsibilities

 

Brand

  • To elevate and protect the brand in the approach to wholesale business.
  • To ensure the brand’s presentation online and in-store meets standards and positioning goals.
  • Responsible for managing sample send outs and sample inventory.


Strategy

  • To assist Wholesale Director in creating strategic plan for growing current business and acquiring new accounts. 
  • To define targets, milestones and KPIs toward optimized distribution + sales growth.
  • To contrive and budget a schedule for store visits, training, activations, trunk shows in the territory.


Distribution

  • To maintain and expand the brand’s distribution in owned territories.
  • To identify growth opportunities in key regions and build relationships. 
  • To grow specialty accounts in key regions in order to hit sales targets.
  • To work closely with partners toward optimized sell thru results.
  • To analyze sales trends and competitive landscape to determine targets.


Budget

  • To assist Wholesale Director in planning the yearly budget by providing forecasting for each owned account/territory. 
  • To assist Wholesale Director in maintaining the shared Wholesale Budget – across all P&L lines – income and expenses.
  • To assist Wholesale Director in updating the shared Wholesale Budget across all P&L lines – Actuals vs. Forecast – on a monthly basis.

 

Ranging + Projections

  • To contribute to range architecture considerations ahead of market.
  • To provide projections for owned accounts to Wholesale Direct for presentation to CFO + Production for planning.
  • To provide feedback & reporting to Design and Development post market to inform future ranging.  

 

Paris Market

  • To schedule appointments and build the appointment calendar.   
  • To lead showroom production efforts and planning, including digital and printed assets and merchandising.
  • To oversee the receiving and return of the collection from warehouses and Development to and from the market showroom.
  • To lead sales appointments for owned accounts / territories and assist the Wholesale Director with appointments.
  • To coordinate and manage interns for the Paris showroom.


NYC Showroom

  • To assist in the merchandising and presentation of the NYC Showroom.
  • To coordinate send-outs for all accounts (owned specialty and majors) for any e-commerce / marketing needs and oversee all returns.

  

Operations

  • To set up all styles in RLM and JOOR and ensure all details are accurate.
  • To ensure that all wholesale orders for owned accounts are accurately entered in RLM and to provide order confirmations. 
  • To provide approved garment titles and descriptions to customers and ensure consistency across all accounts. 
  • To manage all communications with accounts regarding, goods ready to ship, delays, cancellations, etc. and to negotiate any discounts necessary to secure the sale of goods.
  • To work closely with Logistics Manager to complete all style information and documentation required by customers prior to shipping for efficient fulfillment.  
  • To assist Finance department with providing and following up on invoices.
  • To initiate and manage replenishments and stock swaps for owned accounts.


Reporting

  • To work with Wholesale Director in requesting and analyzing sell thru reports by customer, by season, by style, and publishing for the business on a regular basis. 
  • To provide market reports at the end of each market.  
  • To support Wholesale Director with report formats and internal presentations.   


Training + Store Visits

  • To develop a plan and budget for store visits, staff training, and in store events aimed at improved merchandising, brand knowledge, positioning and sell-thrus for both majors and specialty stores. 
  • To maintain the brand’s product guide for wholesale customers.


Global Pricing + JOOR

  • To ensure consistent pricing across Direct + Wholesale channels in all key currencies. 
  • To actively update and elevate the presentation of the brand in JOOR.


Markdown

  • To work closely with E-Commerce on the planning of annual markdowns, and to manage communications with Wholesale customers.
  • To monitor markdowns across the account base throughout the year and following during markdown periods.


 RTV

  • To analyze SOH + sell thru to determine potential exits for specialty and major accounts and to issue credit memos as needed.  
  • To plan these exits with the Wholesale Director, CEO, CFO and Director Creative & Strategy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of luxury wholesale experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of RLM / ERP software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365
