In this newly created role, the Associate Director of FP&A, as an individual contributor, will oversee the ongoing analysis of the Company’s business operations. This includes developing financial models to compile and report forecasted results for changes in economic environment, additional headcount and efficiency improvements; performing economic evaluations of projects and investments to improve operational performance; building and maintaining recurring revenue recognition analyses; and creating financial models for the evaluation of new client contracts, potential acquisitions and/or business relationships; overall ownership for all management reporting and budgeting processes globally.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive the forecasting process for each segment of business operations. Maintain a robust forecast model that is coordinated with Sales, Services, Operations and Human Resources.
  • Serve as key business partner and contributor to growth strategies, tactics and long-range planning, ensuring that current revenue-generating strategies create enterprise value.
  • Leading annual planning and budgeting cycle and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the company. Review actual results with management and provide an understanding of variances from budget and/or forecast.
  • Participate, as needed, in integration of any due diligence and acquisitions and establish metrics and budgeting processes for newly acquired companies.
  • Support major Company investment opportunities such as capital investments, corporate partnerships and strategic alliances by leading the financial analysis of such opportunities.
  • Develop a user-friendly financial dashboard for Practice Directors and senior leadership to increase visibility to financial progress.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards to monitor the business specifically with regard to efficiency, profitability and time and resource management.
  • Work with the CFO to perform analysis and provide strategic insights derived from sales and customer level data that drive critical business decisions. Develop, implement and continuously optimize marketing analytics and success measurement including detailed analyses of pricing and attrition.
  • Liaise with the Operating Departments. Assist the groups with understanding and managing the costs of the business, within the groups and for the overall business.


Requirements:


Technical

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA or CPA a plus.
  • Minimum 9-12 years progressively responsible experience in financial, planning and analysis (SaaS and or Professional Services experience a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and experience with its application in the business.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and reporting, as well as a strong appreciation for procedure, process, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience building reports from scratch in a startup environment.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct a plus.
  • Advanced expertise in Excel (Power Pivot, Power Query and VBA) required.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI preferred) required.
