Position Description:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for enhancing cultural alignment through team member development, engagement, and communication. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting our organization's multi-site human resource functions including benefit & payroll administration, team member development, recruitment, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a dynamic individual with a comprehensive understanding of HR principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.


Essential Job Functions:

Benefit & Payroll Administration:

  • Manage team member benefit programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
  • Administer payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of payroll deductions and adjustments to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Facilitate our open enrollment processes, communicate benefit plan options, and address team member benefit inquiries.
  • Oversee the administration and utilization of our human capital management platform, ADP Workforce Now.
  • Act as an advocate for team members to support resolution on any issues and support future benefit enhancements.

Team Member Development:

  • Support the performance review process, including goal setting, performance feedback, and development planning.
  • Assist managers in addressing performance issues and implementing development plans.
  • Support the development of training programs to enhance team members’ knowledge and skills in alignment with business objectives.

Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Assist in the development of job descriptions and position requisition approvals.
  • Source candidates, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and facilitate the selection process.
  • Design and implement an effective onboarding program to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.
  • Provide support for career development, performance assessments, and succession planning.

Safety:

  • Coordinate safety training and documentation with Tomahawk Safety Champions.
  • Assist in the completion of annual safety reporting requirements including updating customer portal questionnaires and documentation.

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
  • Assist with regulatory and company policy compliance related to labor laws, benefits, our team member handbook, and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR or administrative role with exposure to benefit administration, training coordination, and recruitment activities.
  •  Proficiency in ERP or HCM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Certification (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
