Typical Responsibilities:

·        Drive project cadence, interface with customers and suppliers

·        Manage the bill of material and procure piece parts

·        Design electronic assemblies through the integration of off-the-shelf hardware and custom circuit boards

·        Creation of circuit board layouts and drawings

·        Creation of test plans, review, and processing of test data

·        Assemble and test both deliverable hardware and test equipment

·        Participate in operations planning and maintenance

·        Machine and rework parts

·        Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals

·        Document work and create reports as needed

·        Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

•        Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

•        2+ years relevant working experience

•        Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

•        Ability to work in a team environment

•        United States Citizenship, or the legal ability to work in the U.S.

•        Note: We regularly work with export-controlled data and are unable to provide sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

•        5+ years relevant working experience

•        Power electronics experience

•        Software and/or firmware experience

Work Location / Hours:

·        Mostly on-site in Amherst, NY (near UB North campus)

·        Intermittent remote work as needed

·        Hours are flexible
