Desk Adjuster

Baldwin Roofing Company is currently looking for a Claims Specialist/Desk Adjuster/Estimator to join our growing team and will be a critical component in providing an excellent experience for our customers. The primary responsibilities include providing estimates and supplements to insurance partners, maintaining relationships with insurance partners, and working with project coordinator to manage insurance jobs.
This is an internal position, and does not generally require travel from jobsite to jobsite. This is not a sales position. Must be able to write estimates in Xactimate.
Job Skills & Duties
- Use estimating software to build estimates within internal system, Xactimate, and Symbility
- Be able to identify if storm damage is present or not from photos and documentation from an on-site inspection and complete damage analysis
- Manage and negotiate estimates and supplements with insurance carriers
- Manage communication with insurance partners by providing claim updates and establish rapport to maintain relationships for faster claims processing time
- Completes and maintains records, reports and files
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years desk adjusting and/or property claims experience
- Minimum 2 years estimating with Xactimate and Symbility
- All-Lines Adjuster License (not required, but a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet, and provide documents in a timely and efficient manner
- Flexible availability in the event of catastrophic weather
