The Coordinator of School Outreach will support the Manager of School Outreach with the implementation and logistics of the Professional Community Ambassadors program. This program utilizes ambassadors from all over the country who want to spread the mission of Erika's Lighthouse to their local community. This position is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule. This candidate should have a passion for the mission and a commitment to education and raising awareness about adolescent depression.

Responsibilities

Education- Professional Community Ambassador Programming (70%)

  • Support the Manager for School Outreach with effective and efficient implementation of the Professional Community Ambassador programs. 
  • Manage and coordinate a caseload of up to 10 ambassador teams.
  • Provide ongoing support to Professional Community Ambassadors.
  • Program and execute monthly meetings with financial sponsor.
  • Represent Erika’s Lighthouse at state level conferences through presentations, exhibiting and networking.
  • Maintain and update the conferences calendar throughout the year, ensuring that all upcoming conferences and deadlines are accurately reflected.
  • Act as a liaison between Erika’s Lighthouse, education team and ambassadors.
  • Maintain ambassador team activity and meeting records. 
  • Oversee marketing materials needed for professional community ambassador teams.


Education- Administration (30%)

  • Partner with the Operations and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator and Manager of School Outreach to prepare conference logistics for travel for both the educational team and professional community ambassador program.
  • Assist with ambassador recruitment, onboarding and retention-related tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Empowerment Club Coordinator to prepare and send materials for clubs as needed.
  • Ensure presentations, templates, and slide decks are current and up to date. 
  • Assist with updating the Professional Community Ambassador manual as needed.
  • Partner with the Marketing coordinator to effectively communicate about ambassador participation and attendance at various events.
  • Assist in webinars, resource portal walkthroughs or presentations as needed.
  • Maintain and update the conferences calendar throughout the year, ensuring that all upcoming conferences and deadlines are accurately reflected.
  • Promote resource portal accounts creation.
  • Participate in engagement with national/state organizations to offer webinars. 


Experience/Qualifications

  • Comfort and willingness to learn technologies such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Talentdesk and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, staff, community groups and other related agencies and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel on occasion.
  • Ability to work strategically within a team structure as well as independently.
  • Dependability, good time management and organizational skills, and attentiveness to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with an infectious enthusiasm for the mission and the ability to engage and inspire others. 
  • This position reports to the Manager of School Outreach. At least 10 hours a week will be in-office work, Tuesdays & Thursdays, based in Winnetka, IL. The remainder is flexible but will need to be aligned to the needs of the team. Your work schedule must be consistent and fall within the core hours of operation (10 am-2 pm).
