Senior Systems Administrator at Hidden Level

Position Overview:

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for an Sr. Systems Administrator who use their skills, technical expertise and latest tools and technologies to create and maintain a secure and functional environment(s) for the company.

This role is based in Syracuse, NY, with the ability for a hybrid work environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Take administrative responsibility for the configuration, maintenance, and operation of computer systems and servers.
  • Implement and administer a computer and server configuration and management solution and develop associated processes.
  • Configure, install, and manage desktop and laptop computers, servers, networks, firewalls and other critical components.
  • Determine and implement appropriate group policies to manage access, system updates, anti-virus, and threat management solutions, and more.
  • Administer Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management solutions that manage company assets.
  • Deploy and administer both physical and cloud managed servers and firewalls.
  • Develop and maintain a secure and efficient network supporting physical and cloud infrastructure.

  • Report directly to the IT Security Manager and play a major role in the growth of the company.
  • Assist the IT Security Manager with developing Information Technology policies and procedures to enable all aspects of the business.
  • Help guide sensible IT decisions by working with management and teammates to create an environment of trust and productivity.

  • A keen attention to detail and great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related major preferred, certifications related to computers, networking or security preferred.
  • 4+ years related professional experience including hands-on system administration and network administration experience.
  • Deep knowledge of IT best practices, industry standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Experience with Apple, Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
  • An understanding of Linux Operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including Security, Compliance and Exchange
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, networking and infrastructure
  • An understanding of programming languages, including PowerShell
  • Networking, both supporting physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification programs such as SOC-2, and similar
  • US export regulations
  • Cloud-based servers and solutions and their security strengths and weaknesses
  • NIST and CMMC Compliance is preferred.

Salary at Hidden Level Inc. is market competitive and determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $80,000 to $100,000 annually. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Hidden Level Inc.'s total compensation package for employees.
