As a Report Designer you will play a key role in driving improvements in operational performance. You will help facilitate and influence data-driven decision-making by developing tracking metrics and reporting tools to monitor and improve key KPIs. You will also work closely with Vehicle Logistics business teams to identify their reporting needs and build solutions to meet those objectives.


Position Duties:

As a Report Designer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop tracking metrics and dashboards to improve and monitor key KPIs.
  • Utilize data from Global Track and Trace (GT&T) to drive improvements in the Transportation Network and reduce Time In-Transit.
  • Collaborate with various Vehicle Logistics business teams to identify reporting needs, develop, and deploy reports using Microsoft Power BI and QlikView.
  • Leverage additional reporting and data management tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, SharePoint) to consolidate non-systemic and systemic data.
  • Create documentation on report development for transparency and training purposes.
  • Provide training and support to our company and partner groups on system and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and manage Data Quality tracking reports to support Data Quality Management Service (DQMS) activities.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues impacting vehicle handling in the network.
  • Oversee day-to-day vehicle movements at origin plants to ensure adherence to shipping plans.


Position Qualifications:

  • Experience in Automotive and/or Vehicle Logistics reporting preferred.
  • Strong ability to handle complexity, multi-task, and work independently.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel (required), PowerPoint (required), Business Objects, CCAPS, and Access (Database).
  • Advanced experience with analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, QlikView, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and databases such as Oracle 9i/10g, MySQL, MS-SQL Server, Hadoop, and MS Access.
  • Significant experience using Business Intelligence tools to report on large, complex datasets.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in identifying and troubleshooting operational issues within a logistics network.
