Controls Engineer
LHH is currently seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join a leading manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in designing, implementing, and optimizing control systems for industrial processes. The successful candidate will excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and drive technological advancements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes and system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to integrate control systems with existing machinery and equipment.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including control system specifications, wiring diagrams, and operational manuals.
- Conduct system audits and performance assessments to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Implement and support preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for control systems and automation equipment.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users on control systems and automation technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a strong background in designing and optimizing control systems for manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in control system programming languages (e.g., PLC, SCADA, HMI) and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
- Experience with control system hardware and software, including troubleshooting and system integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to control systems and automation.

Salary: $80,000 to $110,000/year, based on experience, plus commission
