General Overview

The primary role involves the commissioning, modification, troubleshooting, and support of related systems at client sites or as required, ensuring the delivery of superior quality service.

Frequent travel (up to 80% of the time) to project sites for extended durations is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission automated control systems for provided or modified equipment efficiently and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and client to design and implement on-site acceptance testing procedures.
  • Generate and/or verify technical documentation for precision in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the client and Project Manager, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Provide remote technical assistance to clients as assigned, ensuring timely and professional support.
  • Interpret circuit diagrams and layout schematics for installation and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Develop and troubleshoot Ladder and STL PLC programming.
  • Manage EPROM handling, burning, and restoration of Ghost images.
  • Engage with the BEUMER IT team during commissioning and troubleshooting processes professionally.
  • Program and maintain Fanuc Robots and associated tools.
  • Foster and sustain effective professional relationships with clients and project personnel.
  • Communicate commissioning and troubleshooting activities in a timely manner, providing updates as required.
  • Travel both domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in a Field Service Engineer role or equivalent Electro/Mechanical expertise.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient in interpreting circuit diagrams.
  • Experience with Siemens S7, Ladder and STL programming, and Allen Bradley systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience with remote software management.
  • Basic understanding of database functionalities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and material handling.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Excellent time management skills.
