Brooks Utility Products is seeking a Quality Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our manufacturing processes. This role involves working closely with production, engineering, customer service, suppliers, and customers to implement and maintain robust quality systems and standards.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Under the leadership of the quality manager, support the following key workstreams:


Internal Product Quality Assurance:

• Establish, implement and oversee product quality standards, inspection criteria, and testing procedures.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product defects and non-conformances.

• Develop and maintain quality procedures and documentation.

• Analyze quality processes to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.


Supplier Quality Management:

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials and components meet quality specifications.

• Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to maintain a reliable supply chain.

• Ensure suppliers root cause and corrective actions are robust and acceptable.

• Conduct inspections and testing at various stages of the production process to identify and resolve quality issues.


Customer Engagement & Satisfaction:

• Address customer quality concerns received on RMAs / complaints promptly and effectively.

• Work closely with the customer service team to resolve issues and improve overall customer satisfaction.

• Use RCA tools to ensure issues are resolved at the root and PCA are implemented.


Training and Development:

• Provide training to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across the organization.

• Train quality inspector team to standard inspection processes.

• Train quality and production team in problem solving techniques.

• Develop and maintain training materials and records for quality related training.


Quality System Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with industry standards, ISO9001 and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

• Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and stakeholders.


Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Equivalent experience/education may be considered.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably on electromechanical or related products.

• Strong understanding of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.

• Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, ANSI, NEMA, UL standards).

• Excellent analytical and data analysis skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.


Work core production hours – M-Th (6am – 4:30pm); Fridays are flexible based on business need
