We are seeking experienced Privacy Program Consultants to join our team for an engagement with our client, based in Los Angeles, California. The consultants will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive privacy program development, compliance, and risk management services.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to assess their current privacy practices and develop tailored privacy programs aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough organizational policy reviews and draft policies and procedures to enhance privacy governance and compliance.
- Develop and implement robust processes, controls, and frameworks to manage privacy risks effectively.
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes related to data privacy and ensure clients remain compliant with evolving requirements.
- Lead privacy impact assessments, privacy threshold assessments, and privacy risk assessments to identify and mitigate privacy risks across various business operations.
- Design and facilitate privacy training sessions and tabletop exercises to enhance organizational awareness and preparedness for privacy incidents.
- Conduct privacy audits to assess clients' compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy considerations into new initiatives, projects, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience within the last 5 years in providing privacy program development and compliance consulting services.
- Proven expertise in conducting privacy impact assessments, privacy threshold assessments, and privacy risk assessments.
- Strong understanding of privacy laws, regulations, and standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other regional data protection laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
