Anderson Health Information Systems, a leader in Health Information Management consulting and auditing, is hiring a full-time Health Information/Medical Records Consultant and Auditor to work with skilled nursing facilities, and other clients.
Responsibilities:
• Provide medical record staff training and review of record systems
• Assist facilities to optimize electronic health record implementation and usage
• Assist with pre-survey preparation and post-survey plan of correction
• Perform ICD-10-CM coding reviews
• Provide oversight regarding HIPAA privacy and security requirements
• Extract, analyze, and visualize healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
Required Qualification:
• Registered Health Information Technician/Administrator (RHIT/RHIA) certification
Skills Needed:
- Medical Records experience
- ICD-10-CM coding
- Problem-solving
- Ability to work with many personality types and levels of management
- Analytical thinking
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, Medicare, and CMS guidelines helpful
