About the Position

The Accounting Intern works out of Stansell Electric’s Nashville office, assisting in all aspects of supporting the day-to-day functions of the accounting, finance team. The Accounting Intern must show great attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to navigate finance and accounting systems commensurate to the satisfactory completion of position’s primary duties and responsibilities. Advancement opportunities are available by advancing to more senior positions or through transfer to skilled trades.


How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Run reports using applicable accounting systems to provide data and analysis
  • Creating original reports and working with IT on Power BI initiatives
  • Complete audits of company assets and make necessary disposals
  • Day to day management of company books and other finance and accounting databases
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Additional duties as assigned


Smarts, Skills. And Physical Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Possession of good hearing and vision, normal or corrected.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


Education

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited university


Experience

Applicable finance and accounting coursework
