About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and enthusiastic Staff Accountant to join our team at The Joseph, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including income journal, internal audits, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and prepare financial reports in accordance with all due dates and ensure compliance with Highgate's internal Financial audit.
  • Communicate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Assist with collection calls on outstanding accounts and monitor outgoing payments due to our vendors.
  • Support in the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure accurate and efficient processes throughout.
Requirements
  • High school education and ideally an associate degree or higher in Accounting or a related field.
  • Previous experience in hotel accounting is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously over the telephone and in person.
