Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) is responsible for leading the end-to-end SIOP process, aligning sales forecasts, inventory management, and production plans with business objectives. This role requires a strategic leader who can optimize supply chain processes, enhance demand forecasting accuracy, and ensure the efficient flow of goods. The Senior Director will work closely with sales, finance, operations, and supply chain teams to balance supply and demand, minimize costs, and maximize customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

SIOP Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement an integrated SIOP process that aligns with the company's strategic goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development of accurate sales forecasts, inventory targets, and production plans.

Demand Planning:

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to gather market intelligence and develop reliable demand forecasts.
  • Use statistical methods and historical data to improve forecast accuracy.

Inventory Management:

  • Establish inventory policies and optimize inventory levels to balance service levels with cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage inventory to reduce excess and obsolete stock.

Operations Planning:

  • Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to develop production schedules that meet demand forecasts.
  • Optimize capacity planning, resource allocation, and production timelines.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, and more.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on SIOP performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster collaboration between sales, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Facilitate SIOP meetings and provide clear communication of plans, changes, and decisions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the SIOP process and overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to SIOP.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage and resolve supply and demand imbalances proactively.

Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SIOP professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and career development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in SIOP, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain experience within the hospitality industry
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Experience with SIOP software and tools, as well as ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
