This contract position, with potential for full-time employment upon review, is perfect for those with a career trajectory in editing, particularly within the Adobe Creative Suite domain. Role Description

This is a contract role for a Contract Assistant Editor. As an Assistant Editor, you will be integral to our post-production team, working primarily on Adobe Creative Suite in a MacOS environment. This role demands a meticulous, organized individual passionate about editing and post-production workflows. This is an on-site role located in Charlotte, NC.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Mastery of Adobe Premiere and After Effects; familiarity with Photoshop is beneficial.
  • Offloading and organizing footage, ensuring seamless project organization for multiple editors.
  • Synchronizing and managing multicam footage, along with creating select sequences based on story notes.
  • Adapting final shows/features into various social media formats (e.g., 9x16, 1x1).
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail for quality control, especially concerning graphics and text accuracy.
  • Generating master files for delivery, adhering to network specifications and quality standards.


Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects; knowledge of Photoshop preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of post-production processes, organizational skills, and project management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborative projects.
  • Residency in Charlotte, NC, is required for this local position.


Additional Skills Appreciated:

  • Experience in creating Premiere MOGRTs with After Effects.
  • A creative flair for designing and creating new assets from scratch.
