Reports to CEO:

This is a full time in-office salary exempt position. The Lead Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for heading up the Sales Department. At least three years of experience with off-site catering sales and operations is required to be considered for this position.


This position is responsible for creating proposals for full service and drop off events. As with most event industry positions, this job requires flexibility to work varying schedules to meet the need of our events, including working holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed. Required off-site client meetings, site visits, and networking events should be scheduled out of office.


Scope of responsibility includes but not limited to:

  • Heavy sales in the large format, experiential and corporate sales with a large book of business including networking
  • Creating catering proposals up to and including sign off and contract execution
  • Must have the ability to develop menus that align with client needs and budget. We are a boutique company that creates proposals based on client consultations.
  • Creating and updating marketing decks and seasonal Guidelines
  • Pursuing, developing, and maintaining client relationships through networking and prospecting, ensuring that prospects are converted to clients
  • Developing outreach strategies with Sales Team
  • Ensuring clients’ expectations are met through effective communication, planning, and customer service
  • Inquiry distribution to Sales Team
  • Conduct bi-monthly Sales Meetings every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month
  • Run various sales reports and deliver to Office Manager prior to each Sales Meeting
  • Creating seasonal menu cycle packages in TPP for Drop-Off and JP Morgan
  • Providing excellent customer service and expertise to clients through the lifespan of the event process: supporting them from initial inquiry through menu and event development, during the proposal and negotiations stage, and finally event execution
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners for maximum exposure
  • Work with and book outside vendors for event needs i.e. rentals, liquor, florals, etc.
  • Provide back-up to other sales team members in instances of absence or vacation
  • Post event wrap up including client follow up
  • Act as event manager as needed
  • Attend event meetings and technical walk throughs as needed
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and admin departments as needed
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clients
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the CEO


Job Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in off-site catering sales – this is a requirement to be considered for this position
  • 3 years experience in menu development – this is a requirement to be considered for this position
  • Must have working food knowledge and menu development skills – this is a requirement to be considered for this position
  • Large corporate and experiential event sales experience a plus
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • College degree preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to type at least 60 WPM
  • Experience with Google suite and Mac proficient
  • Current California Food Handler’s card, Alcohol certification & Sexual Harassment certification's required
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally as needed

Compensation: $75k annually plus commission
